2010-11 Kids & Teens 519 Global Outreach Journey Guidelines

Kids and Teens 519 Global Outreach Journeys are designed to equip believers while in the process of ministry. Our desire is for team members to experience the dynamics of the Body of Christ, to expand their vision of the world and to participate in fruitful ministry to 519's Global Partners.

In order to maximize the impact of a Global Outreach Journey, each team member is asked to agree to the following:

  1. live under the Lordship of Christ so that his/her lifestyle gives credibility to his/her profession of faith.
  2. be a member in good standing at a local church.
  3. have a daily quiet time of at least 20 minutes.
  4. keep a journal of this journey beginning with training and continuing through the debrief after returning home.
  5. fulfill team requirements related to training field policies, and debrief.
  6. raise the necessary prayer and financial support for the trip. Support discovery training and deadlines are provided in the first training session. Any funds not raised by the deadlines must be covered by the individual team member. The Global Outreach Ministry of Kids and Teens  is not responsible for covering the expenses of a team member.
  7. Kids and Teens 519 requires 10% of the funds raised to cover their administration costs.
  8. submit to the direction of the team leader both during training and on the field.
  9. seek to be above reproach in his/her actions and attitudes.
  10. make the necessary lifestyle adjustments in order to adapt to the culture of the host community. This will require refraining from abusive language, drinking alcoholic beverages, taking illegal narcotics, and smoking.
  11. this may also include altering eating habits, dress styles, interaction between men and women, etc.
  12. refrain from the expression of political opinions while overseas due to political instability and anti-American sentiment in many countries.
  13. pray daily for your supporters and prayer partners
  14. enjoy the adventure
